The History of Mephedrone

The Research Project by Psychonaut (an organization which has been formed by the EU and has the job of scanning the internet for information of any kind that it can find on the topic of newly introduced drugs) was the organization which had found out about the presence of Mephedrone in the year 2008. Their research shows that this drug had become available in markets all around the world around 2007.

The 1st seizure every of the drug took place in France during May 2007. How this happened? A tablet of this drug, which the police thought was ectsacy, was sent for a routine check up when it was found. The drug had started to be used in various products as Neodoves pills that were sold by Neorganics although they had stopped their sale during January in the year 2008. The main reason for this stop in the sale of the drug was that it was banned by the Israel government, where this company is based. There have been quite similar occurences in countries such as Europe & the U.S. also. It is said that the drug is mainly produced in China and lots of money is being made from it’s manufacture.
