SpaNobody has a clue as to when was the word ‘spa’ coined. There are two theories through which we can understand the history of spa. The first theory is the Latin expression ‘salus per acquae’ which mean ‘health through water’. Some others believe that the word spa originated from Belgian town of Spa. They also believe that the town became so famous that the word spa became a common word in English.

Modern spas are known for using mineral waters and hot springs for restoring the health. This idea dates back to the ancient times of Babylonians and Greeks wherein hot springs were used for the same purpose. However, the modern spas come with wide range of services such as facials, massages, aromatherapy, exercising at the gym, etc.

Spa days is one of the best ways to chill out and recharge yourself. There are so many resorts present throughout UK such as Wales Spa Days. In order to attract more visitors, the spa resorts are offering attractive discounts so that you pay less money and enjoy more. Even though the times have changed but the purpose of visiting a spa in the past was for relaxing and healing and it is still the same today.
